Plumas Charter School announces the retirement of kindergarten teacher Inge Stock, a cherished teacher who has been an integral part of the Quincy Learning Center since 2013. Stock’s dedication to her students, her passion for teaching and her unwavering commitment to educational excellence have left a lasting mark on the PCS community.

Stock has inspired countless young minds over her remarkable career, fostering a love of learning and providing a strong educational foundation for her students. Her approach to teaching, characterized by warmth, creativity and a deep understanding of early childhood development, has made her a beloved figure among students, parents and colleagues alike.

On her final day of teaching, the parents of her last kindergarten class came together to celebrate her with an outpouring of love and gratitude. The classroom was decorated with balloons, flowers and heartfelt cards, reflecting the profound impact she has had on the lives of her students and their families.

In honor of her retirement, her coworkers organized a special BBQ get-together at the fairgrounds. This gathering was an opportunity for colleagues and friends to express their gratitude and wish her well as she embarks on this new chapter of her life. 

"Inge has been a cornerstone of our kindergarten program, and her absence will be deeply felt," said executive director Taletha Washburn.  "Her expertise, compassion and dedication have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many students. We are grateful for her years of service and wish her all the best in her retirement."

During the end-of-year staff meeting, Stock left her colleagues with some words of wisdom, “embrace the challenge, don’t take it home and ask for help,” she advised.
