PCS sixth-graders are offering a fundraising dinner.Plumas Charter School sixth-graders are offering an enchilada dinner March 30 to raise funds for their Environmental Science and Student Exploration field trip.

The dinner will be held at Pangaea Café and Pub, 461 Main St. in Quincy, with seatings at 5 or 7 p.m. To-go meals will also be available.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids. They are available at the following locations: PCS’s Quincy Learning Center, 546 Lawrence St.; Barn Owl Books, 373 W. Main St. in Quincy; PCS’s Greenville Learning Center, 212 Pine St.; and Indian Valley Academy, 4352 Main St. in Taylorsville.

During their sixth-grade school year, students at all PCS’s learning centers are immersed in the ESSE curriculum, which combines science, ecology, social studies, and history to explore the natural resources of northern California from many angles.

The experience culminates with the ESSE field trip at the end of the school year, during which students follow the Feather River to the San Francisco Bay while experiencing hands-on lessons in geology, hydrology, forestry, mining, and agriculture.

This trip is funded entirely through student fundraising efforts. PCS thanks everyone who supports this amazing student experience.
For more information about the dinner or the ESSE program, call PCS at 530-283-3851.
